Implementation Regulations
To come to a formulation of the implementation regulations under the Environmental Framework Act a certain process was followed.
There are a total of 21 Implementation Regulation that can be formulated under the Act. Not all of these regulations all needed to facilitate the implementation of the Act. Of these 21 regulation the 6 most important ones were selected to be drafted first. These are:
- EIA Activities
- EIA Procedure
- Environmental Permit
- Hazardous Substances
- Environmental Fund
- Rules and Procedures for the Environmental Controllers
Sectoral and general stakeholder consultations were held. Also, a questionnaire was also sent out to specific groups to gather information on their activities that have an impact on the environment.
