The tasks of this Office are:

• Secretarial
• Human Resource management
• Data entry and financial administration

The Office of Environmental and Social Assessments (ESA)
The tasks of this Office are:

• Design of an Environmental Impact Analysis (MEA) system of procedures and guidelines to perform project specific MEAs and more general environmental impact analyzes;
• Initiate and further develop draft proposals for MEA legislation; 
• Supervising the complete MEA process; 
• Performing environmental audits in the context of the MEA process.

The Office of Environmental Monitoring and Enforcement (EME)
The tasks of this Office are:

• developing and monitoring environmental standards and norms;
• monitor compliance with environmental laws;
• collaborate with other government agencies for monitoring and supervising compliance with environmental laws and regulations

Environmental Legal Services (LEGAL)
The tasks of this Office are:

• formulating environmental laws and regulations;
•  evaluating regional and international environmental conventions;
• providing legal advice on environmental issues to the other Offices, ministries and the public

Environmental Education & Public Outreach (EPO)
The tasks of this Office are:

• Educational programs;
• Assisting in the development of an environmental curriculum for the GLO;
• Involving the news media in NIMOS activities;
• Make research accessible to the general public;
• Provide environmental information to all interested parties.

The Office of Environmental Planning and Information (EPI)
The tasks of this Office are:

• Management of environmental information;
• Optimalizing environmental information databases;
• Responsible of the State of the Environment report;
• Management of the Environmental Information Catalog.
